Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026 · Operated by Alexey Shuliakouski
Linsu is a local-first routine app. Your routines live on your iPhone, and the app works fully offline.
Everything you create is stored on your iPhone. Some optional features planned for later versions will be able to move your data off the device — iCloud sync and an AI step-breakdown — and both will be off until you turn them on. What each one sends is spelled out below, before either ships.
Our permanent commitments
These hold in every version of Linsu, regardless of what features are added:
- No accounts — no sign-ups, email addresses or passwords to use the app
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage statistics
- No advertising, ad identifiers or ad networks
- No third-party trackers
- No selling, sharing or transferring your data — to anyone, for any purpose
- Nothing you write is used to train any AI model
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or health data access
- Local-first — your device holds the real copy of your data; anything else is a convenience layer you can turn off
- Anything that sends data off your device is opt-in and off by default, and this policy is updated before such a feature ships
What the current version does
Version 1.0 makes no network requests at all. It has no server and no backend. Your routines, steps, timings and history do not leave your iPhone unless you deliberately export them.
Everything you create is stored locally, in Linsu's private app storage:
- routines, steps and durations
- your daily items and their completion history
- settings and comfort preferences
- whether you have purchased Pro
This data is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or encrypted local backup) if you have those enabled. That is Apple's backup of your whole device, controlled by you — we have no access to it.
Planned optional features, and the rules they will follow
Neither of these is in the app yet. They are described here so the rules are on the record in advance, rather than written afterwards to fit whatever gets built.
iCloud sync (planned)
For using Linsu on more than one device.
- Opt-in. Off unless you turn it on.
- Your data would sync through your own iCloud account, in Apple's private CloudKit database. We would not operate a server, would not hold a copy, and would not be able to read your data — access is controlled by your Apple Account, not by us.
- Turning it off, or signing out of iCloud, leaves your local data intact and working.
- Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
AI step breakdown (planned)
For splitting one step you're stuck on into smaller ones, when you ask for it.
- Opt-in, off by default, and summoned per step — never running in the background, never reading your day on its own.
- It would send only the text of the step you tap. Not your other routines, not your history, not your settings, and no account or device identifier — because none exists.
- Not used to train any model. This is a hard requirement on any provider we use; if it cannot be guaranteed in writing, the feature does not ship.
- It suggests smaller steps. It is not advice of any kind — see "Not a medical app" below.
- You will be able to see what would be sent before it is sent.
Notifications
Linsu schedules local notifications so your routine steps arrive on time. These are created and delivered by iOS on your device. Nothing is sent through a server, and no push tokens exist.
Live Activities
If you start a routine, Linsu can show a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This is rendered on-device by iOS from data already on your device.
Purchases
Linsu Pro is sold through the App Store. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple — we never see or receive your payment details. Linsu asks StoreKit a single question: whether this Apple Account owns Linsu Pro. Apple's handling of purchase data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple provides us with anonymised, aggregated sales figures. These cannot identify you.
Exporting your data
Settings includes a backup export that writes your data to a file you choose. Once you export it, that file is yours and is outside Linsu's control — if you put it somewhere shared, the usual care applies. Linsu does not upload it anywhere.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and everything Linsu stored on your device goes with it. If you would like to keep your routines first, export a backup before deleting.
If you turn on iCloud sync in a future version, the synced copy lives in your own iCloud account: remove it from your iCloud settings, or turn sync off and delete the app. There is no server-side copy held by us to request deletion of.
Children
Linsu is a general-purpose tool with no ads, no external links to unmoderated content, and no communication features. It requires no account and asks for no personal details from anyone, including children.
Not a medical app
Linsu is a planning and routine tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide advice about any condition, and it stores no health data. Nothing in the app — including any future AI step-breakdown — should be taken as medical, psychological or clinical guidance.
Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar)
Rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection concern personal data held by us about you. We hold none. Your data is in your possession, on your device, and you can export or delete it yourself at any time without asking us.
If a future opt-in feature ever changes that, this section will state exactly what is held, for how long, and how to have it deleted — before that feature ships.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
Changes to this policy
If Linsu gains a feature that changes anything above, this policy is updated before that feature ships, and the change is described plainly in the app's release notes. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
